WHO ARE WE

The Mission of Team Alpental Snoqualmie Ski Education Foundation (TAS) is to provide a highly structured, well funded local alpine racing program.  TAS provides opportunities for our athletes to develop both personal and racing skills that are fundamental to the growth of well—rounded, mature and competitive individuals. TAS offers the highest level of physical training, professional staff and positive motivation, from introduction to international levels of alpine ski racing.

TAS SKI TEAM

 Since 1971, TAS has provided an outstanding level of coaching resulting in exceptional success from our athletes.  This past season, in our effort to promote ski racing, TAS restarted the Development Team. The Development Team offers skiers a fun and relaxed opportunity to enhance their abilities by learning race fundamentals. The TAS I-90 Series race was a fun event attracting ski racers from several local ski areas including Crystal Mountain, Stevens Pass, and Mission Ridge. Our Development Team athletes showed their improved skills, and the top racers won trophies.

The TAS Buddy Werner team is one of the best in the Pacific Northwest. The following results at the Junior level are impressive:

J3 athletes Anna Mounsey, Silver Medalist at the J3 Junior Olympics, ranks number one in USA followed by Linnea Baysinger, ranks 2nd in USA.

At the FIS level TAS was represented by five athletes in the Junior Olympics, with Vanessa Berther, GS Gold Medalist at the J2 Nationals, making it to the US National and finishing 12th in SL.

TAS is proud to announce the acceptance of Vanessa Berther to the US Ski Team. Vanessa started on the TAS Development Team when she was 7 years old!

 TAS sent our 16 year old Yina Moe-Lange to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics to compete in Slolom and GS.

SPONSORS

TAS success requires more than training and hard work on the part of the racers and coaches. It also depends on the support from the business community and people like you. TAS is asking for your help by providing a tax-deductible donation. The team accomplishes a large portion of its financial commitments through annual donations. The funds raised are used for coach education and salaries, race equipment such as race gates, video, radio, timing and transportation equipment. Our Sponsorships also make it possible to offer scholarships to skiers whom otherwise would be unable to race. Without help from people like you, Bode Miller, Tommy Moe, Picabo Street and our own Deb Armstrong would not be Olympic Champions.

GOLD SPONSOR $2,500

The Gold Sponsor will proudly represent the TAS Team and receive the Gold Sponsor’s logo & acknowledgement above all chosen event names on all TAS sponsored events advertising, promotional materials; websites, posters, registration forms, T-shirts, banners and logos and at the TAS annual auction.

SILVER SPONSOR $1,500

The Silver Sponsor will proudly represent the TAS Team and receive the Silver Sponsor’s logo directly beneath each events name on all printed event advertising and promotional materials; website, posters, registration, T-shirts, banners and at the TAS annual auction.

BRONZE SPONSOR $500

The Bronze Sponsor will proudly represent the TAS Team and receive the Bronze Sponsor’s logo on all printed event advertising promotional materials; websites, posters, registration forms, T-Shirts, banners and at the TAS auction.
