BUDDY WERNERJ4-J5-J6 Team (ages 7-12)For the 7-12 year olds who desire an aggressive training and racing opportunity. This program emphasizes development of technical racing skills and gate racing tactics in all events, preparing the skier for competition and if so desired, an easy transition to Junior Olympic racing. Program includes dryland training beginning mid-September. On snow training includes Thanksgiving and Christmas camps, and continues with training/racing weeks from December through April. In addition, training is available on Wednesday nights at Alpental at the Summit beginning January 2nd, 2008 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Racers in this program travel to Oregon and throughout Washington for various races. Transportation is available to the Pass for all training and racing days. Tuition: $1150 (with an additional requirement of $500 in fund-raising fees, which will be raised at the winter fund-raising event).JUNIOR RACE TEAMJ3-J1 (weekend ski racing)For 13-18 year old competitive ski racers. A full slate of technical fundamentals and racing skills highlights this program preparing racers for Junior Olympic and National caliber competitions. This program includes dryland conditioning sessions in the fall beginning in mid-September and on-snow Thanksgiving and Christmas camps. In addition, training is available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning January 3rd, 2008 from 6pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays from December to April. Athletes in this program travel throughout Washington, Idaho and Oregon. Tuition: $1,550 (with an additional requirement of $500 in fund-raising fees which will be raised at the winter fund-raising event). FULL TIME RACE TEAMJ3-J1 (serious ski racing) For the dedicated and serious ski racer desiring a full-time racing and training program. This program allows the athlete to attend his/her own school and train on snow, daily in the afternoons. This is a five to six day per week program with Monday as the scheduled day off. Racers in this program will catch the team van at 2:45 pm daily for travel to the ski area and return at 7pm to our Eastside location. This year's schedule of races could take racers to Colorado, Utah, Montana, California, Wyoming, Oregon, Idaho and Canada. Participation will be through selection.
