9/29 Update
Hello TAS Development Team Families,
The Devo program is filling up fast and it's great to see so many of you back for more ski racing fun. The Devo program is already over half full, so if you've been meaning to register and just haven't had a chance - don't delay. Our program is limited to 35 athletes and registration will close once we reach that number. See the website for details about on-line registration and season pass information.
If you are in the market for new equipment or just want to get your quesitons answered about various ski manufacturers, you may want to stop by one of the racer days this coming weekend. Reps will be there representing several different brands and a slection of 2012-13 equipment. It's not necessary for Devo athletes to have the top of the line race skis but it is a good opportunity to get a discount on other merchandise as well. So here's the scoop:
Local ski shops will be holding special priced race days this coming weekend. Discounts are around 20%. TAS coaches will be on hand to help with equipment purchases from 11-1pm both Saturday and Sunday.
- Saturday October 1st World Cup Skier Service 9am-6pm
- Sunday October 2nd Sturtevant Sports 11am-5pm
Also starting this weekend for all registered athletes is Dryland Training. It begins this Sunday October 2 from 4-6pm at Robinswood park. Dryland is open to all REGISTERED Junior, BW and DEVO athletes. I will be there to make sure Devo athletes are grouped appropriately. Please bring a water bottle and wear running shoes.

Don't forget the TAS Auction on Oct. 22nd at Chateau St. Michelle winery. See the website for tickets. All TAS families are welcome to attend so grab a few friends and come for a fun time. It's a great way to get to know other parents with kids in the program. If you have any items you would like to donate to the auction, contact Garla Allen at

That's it for now. Please continue to follow the Devo blog on the website and the TAS hotline (425-298-7153) for the most up to date information and don't hesitate to email me with any questions.
Finally, for me, it just wouldn't be right to start the ski season with out seeing the latest Warren Miller flim. It will be playing in Bellevue at the Meydenbauer Center Nov 12 & 13 and at McCaw Hall in Seattle Nov. 18 & 19. If there is enough interest in a particular date, I could look into purchasing tickets at a group price; possibly the 3:00 or 6:00 show on the 12th or the 2:00 or 5:00 show on the 13th? You can go to their website for more info: http://www.skinet.com/warrenmiller/
